HOCKEY!
Hockey is a big deal here. We went to the community center cause they have a small library there, and while we were there we caught a small part of a hockey game that was going on. Amanda got to see first hand how passionate people are about their hockey teams and how rough the game can get. Man! It’s like anything goes with that game. They shove and hit and fight the whole game.

Flowers!
Where’s the Washroom?
If you come to Canada and you need to use the restroom make sure to call it the “washroom”. Canada is very much for recycling and doing things to save the earth. They’re always coming up with more efficient/less power needed air machines in the washrooms. This weird looking thing is one of them. you hold your hands palms in, fingers pointing down and place them inside. A jet-line of air shoots out and your bring your hands up, causing all the water drops to run to your finger tips and fall off. Weird eh? But I have to say, it really freaks out the kids. Amanda wont even try it.

Mennonite Farms
lets go to the Mall!
We spend a lot of time at the mall across the road, I wanted to show you some pictures of it.

This is the movie theater. The last time I went with the kids it was really awful. They got very scared by the movie so every time we even pass the theater, Amanda says “I don’t want to go see the scary movie!” and then I have to tell her every time, “yeah I know we’re not going today. Don’t worry!”. It was toy story 3 that got her all freaked out.

How to have fun in a hotel room
You have to get creative sometimes when you’re stuck sometimes in a hotel room and the kids want to play.
we make tents out of our kitchen chairs, bed sheets and the ironing board.

We use cushions to makes caves… now if only I can get them to build them themselves… they just LOVE to knock down the cave of cushions and have mom rebuild, rebuild, rebuild.

We got removable stickers for the mirrors, and Amanda also likes to use them to give her face a makeover.

We also got butterflies for the windows. (They come off with no residue) the kids try to catch them and Amanda using them for pretend play. She has the mom and baby butterflies go on trips around the room and stuff.

Magnets! I got these before we came out here, they’re RainbowBright and Dora magnets. They work out great for play time on the fridge.
