NY: SAT – b/w the house and grove

This is what’s known as the Brigham Young Barn. It’s a very BIG barn! And on another occasion when the mobs came for the plates, Joseph was instructed to hide them in the top of the hay in the barn. When you’re in there and you put your hand on the tools they used, and try to lift the wood panels they used as “gates” to keep their animals in, it just blows your mind away at how cores, heavy and rough things were! They had to have such strong arms and rough hands to work as hard as they did.

This is one of the small barns where they made barrels. And yet another time in order to protect the plates from mobs they hid the plate in one of their barrels and covered them up (like with flower or something like that) so when they mobs looked in they didn’t see them.

The apple orchard. After the night when Moroni appeared to Joseph Smith, Joseph went to the apple orchard to rest and the Angel Moroni appeared to him again right here.
